Biography

Charles J. Everett received his PhD in soil science from Virginia Tech in 1981. He worked as a Research Soil Scientist in the Forest Research Division of Westvaco Corporation for 22 years.

From 2003 to 2011, Dr. Everett worked as a Research Associate in Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He then worked five years as a Statistician for the US Department of Veterans Affairs, Health Equity and Rural Outreach Innovation Center (HEROIC) in Charleston, South Carolina.  Dr Everett retired from the VA in 2019.

Over his professional career, Dr. Everett has authored or co-authored 90 publications. His first-author publications include studies of
